I want to share with you how I made the bulletin board that I mentioned in the last post. I found a diy to share with you.
I found the instructions to this on "i heart organizing" by Jen (Really? another Jen/Jenn?), that is basically how I made my bulletin board. Click on the image of her bulletin board to be led to her instructions.
I used a 40% off coupon to buy a frame I liked. I found a frame that was exactly the soft white color I wanted, so I didn't need to paint it. But, if you want to customize the color, it is very easy to find a can of spray paint and do that step quickly. Just make sure to lightly sand before you paint.
I also used a 40% off coupon to buy the roll of cork and applied it to the back of the frame as she did, following the rest of her steps. It was such a simple project and I have a pin board that I love!!
I hope you have fun with this project too.
I also found this idea for your pin board that I think is a good one. . .
Can you see the pocket that was created? I think this gives a little cleaner look that I like! You can click on this image and be linked to the post that has the instructions on "Driven by Decor" by Kris. She used a cork bulletin board instead of buying a picture frame, so she only had to cover the cork with the fabric of her choice, saving a few steps.
I love having the clutter on my desk cleared off and a fun fabric covered bulletin or pin board that adds color and pattern, while also keeping things organized and out of the way.
Have fun creating an organized and inspiring home. . .
