We found an infographic that pretty much says it all!! Success is up to each one of us! What do you think? Do you choose to have what it takes?
It absolutely feels impossible that the month of April is almost over! Do you feel the same way? We are loving it that spring is almost here, but that fact made us look at how quickly we are leaving behind a new year! It made us realize we want to take a second look at where we are headed! We believe that is a fun and good thing!!
We found some ideas for empowering habits you might want to consider along with free printable habit trackers! There is power in our habits!!
I saw this infographic on Pinterest and it made me smile! Why? Because it has some simple things to do like clean out your wallet; some thoughtful things to do like make a gratitude log; some practical things to do like finally toss out those socks that don't have a mate; some timely things to do like go somewhere without taking your phone (does our life need that or what?); and some things that require evaluation like "write your best qualities".
It's the time of year to think about getting ready for colder weather and that means getting your home ready before the temperature drops. Who wants to go out in the cold and deal with a problem that could have been avoided?
I found some ideas that seem important to address. This post will address the maintenance projects that are outdoors or in the garage so you can get them done before the cold temperatures arrive. It's a lot nicer to get them done in warm weather!! Photo from mooisenliefs
To let the best of our human nature come out is to live with a magic every day!!
This is what it means to live a life of value. Not only value to you, but value to your family, friends, those you walk by or meet briefly, to your community, and to those in your presence for any length of time. Should what we care about only have value for our lives, or are there things that are bigger than ourselves that we must be willing to sacrifice for and become our best selves for?
Have you thought about the most important lessons you want to teach your children and be an example of to those around you? You know, those important life lessons that you know in your gut makes a huge difference in how to see and live life!
Do you we let too many days go by that we don't think about what those lessons are? We live to get through things instead of learning and being deepened by them?
- What do you hope to pass on?
- What character traits do you believe are indispensable?
- What are your core beliefs?
- What do you know can make all the difference?
- What makes it so you can contribute to society?
I found a list of things happy people do. After reading the thoughts of Viktor Frankl, perhaps the title should be changed to 12 Things to do for a Meaningful Life!!
We are given the gift of our lives. We all live 24 hours in each day. We choose how to spend those 24 hours and we choose our attitudes in life. I love being inspired by Viktor Frankl who lived through extremely horrendous tragedies day in and day out and yet urges us to live by our higher selves. I am grateful to these noble souls who point us forward and upward!!
Do you feel like Memorial Day has become a 3-day weekend to get things done or go places, instead of one of our most important holidays remembering those who have made the greatest sacrifice of all for our country?
As I prepared this post, I realized how much I do not want to forget the deep significance of this holiday
Aren't you amazed at how tidying up your home every day SAVES HOURS OF WORK LATER ON? I have learned that lesson over and over again!!
- When you put things away as soon as you are done with them-
- items to put away do not build up
- until you have so many things to put away
- that hours of your precious time are taken up
- doing an unpleasant job that could have been avoided!!
